Around Vancouver Island

" It is better to be lost on the ocean
than found at the office. "
                      — A DANGEROUS PIRATE

Most summers, depending on our tuition schedule,  we circumnavigate Vancouver Island, a voyage of some 800 NM. We take students along with us and they have the opportunity to join us for a one-week passage during this trip.

We normally leave our home port in Tsehum Harbour in early July. We often first visit Princess Louisa Inlet and then spend the first two weeks of July voyaging to Port Hardy and the Broughton Archipelego at the top of Vancouver Island. We then spend four weeks travelling down the West Coast of Vancouver Island with at least 10 days spent in the Barkley Sound area.

Great sailing, scenery and big salmon are all the order of the day. We normally take only two students on each of several legs on this voyage.
