World-class Cruising Grounds

From Tula's home port at the North Saanich Marina near Sidney BC, we sail in and around some of the premier cruising grounds in the world.

"It's not just a keel and a hull and
a deck and sails – that's what a ship
 needs.
But what a ship is...is freedom. Now, bring
me that horizon!"
            — JACK SPARROW

The Gulf Islands of British Columbia, Canada, and the San Juan Islands in Washington State lie in the protected lees of Vancouver Island and the Olympic Peninsula. This is an uncrowded sailing paradise with warm, gentle breezes most of the year and line-of-sight travel through picturesque islands using careful, planned navigation principles.

The wildlife is stunning. We commune with whales, porpoises, seals, bald eagles and a wide variety of marine life. The island communities and quaint marine villages we visit welcome us warmly. We have no hurricanes...and any pirates keep to themselves.

We love to anchor in quiet, safe, sheltered coves away from the masses. We enjoy a glass of fine wine at sunset at the end of a busy day and regularly dine on fresh seafood that we have caught ourselves.
